Worldwide, car accident are amongst the highest causes of death. In America, over 40,000 people die in a car accident every year. There were 43,005 deaths on the road in the US in 2002. You should get in touch with a road traffic accident specialist if you were hurt by a vehicle or in a collision that was not your fault.

What are the leading causes of car accidents?

Negligent Drivers
Driver negligence may manifest in many forms. It may be because of driving under the influence of alcohol, the driver’s lack of experience, or an aggressive driving behaviour.

Under driver negligence, rubbernecking or getting distracted by events on the road, has been reported as the top cause of car accidents. In the US and the UK, drink driving is illegal. by breaking this law you will be punished. drunk drivers cause forty percent of all deaths on the road. Inexperience is another way that accidents occur especially if they are not accompanied by an experienced driver. One quarter of reported car accidents involved teenage drivers. Road accidents are also caused by aggressive drivers who race, jump lanes and do not give way.

Vehicles
Defective auto parts, vehicle design, and/or car maintenance are also major causes of car accidents. A car with a bad design might be more likely to get damaged and the driver die. For example, the design of an SUV is less stable than that of a car designed to carry passengers.

Road and weather conditions
man cannot control the weather of course. However choosing to come out on the road without first taking into consideration the weather and road condition may also be considered negligence on the part of the driver.

Avoiding car Accidents
Responsible driving is the key to avoid getting yourself involved in a car accident. If you have not had your license long, go out with an experienced driver. Never drive after drinking alcohol. Concentrate on the road, disregard any distractions while driving. If you do get distracted, stop in a safe parking place. make sure you are prepared for any extreme weather conditions before going on long journeys. Make sure and check your vehicle for any problems even before you hit the road. Preparation means prevention when it comes to road accidents.
